There have been a ton of activities, articles, and apps I have learned about and want to explore from this week. I have never used twitter and see potential to integrate it into my classroom to extend learning. I have collaborated with the art teacher at my school and it has helped me break out of my Ludite tendencies. I enjoyed creating my google plus collection and learning about a plethora of opportunities for global collaboration. The one worry is since CPS does not allow Google + with cps.edu it has created significant problems navigating the course. The workarounds have reminded me how much we need to make things integrate and work together. Doing activities you cannot link to without blocks is frustrating and reminds me of Ron Carroll, our Tech coordinator wanting things to be open. This was a marvelous example of how tools can be diminished when censored or limited in integration. My PLN is expanding and will be useful in helping our students navigate our one to one school.
